The residential neighborhood of Marpole within the city of Vancouver, British Columbia is located on the city's southern edge. There are approximately 22,400 people within Marpole which are situated immediately northeast of the Vancouver International Airport. It is bordered by 57th Avenue to the north, Angus Drive to the west, Main Street towards the east and the Fraser River to the south. In the past century, Marpole has gone through numerous changes. There has been a large increase in traffic with the development and construction associated with the Oak Street Bridge, leading to the southern suburbs and Hwy 99 and the Arthur Laing Bridge which leads to the International Airport of Vancouver.
